Australian High C face oil

This oil is made from Australian jojoba oil that has been infused with three amazing Australian ingredients: Quandong, kakadu plum and calendula

Quandong, Kakadu plum and calendula are all naturally rich in vitamin C

We love Australian Jojoba oil as its one of the best oils to use on your skin. Deeply hydrating and restorative but also very similar to the natural composition of your skin's own sebum, so its easily absorbed by the skin and doesn't clog pores.

we decided to make Jojoba oil even better by infusing it with Australian botanicals that are rich in vitamin C, vitamin C is brightening and illuminating for the skin and can help with fine lines and pigmentation, whilst also being super gentle for even the most sensitive of skin types.

Australian High C Face oil can be used day or night time and adds a touch of natural vitamin C for its brightening and illuminating properties, whilst restoring and hydrating skin and adding a natural glow

Jojoba oill comes from a perennial plan originally t native to North America. Unlike most plants, the resilient jojoba plant can thrive in arid, desert climates. It also produces a nut that has proven to have many powerful healing properties.

These properties are what makes it perfect for use as part of our facial skincare routines. It has numerous benefits, which we’ll get into below, and it works well on all skin types, whether oily, dry, or prone to acne.

5 Benefits of Using Jojoba Oil for Your Face

It’s Gentle: Jojoba oil is gentle and so can be used on even sensitive skin. While you should always do a patch test when using new ingredients if you have reactive skin, jojoba oil is typically hypoallergenic.

It Has a Similar Composition to Sebum: Sebum is the natural oil our faces produce throughout the day. This makes it perfect for use with dry skin and acne-prone skin

It’s a Moisturiser: Jojoba oil acts as a humectant, which means it’s an effective way of retaining moisture and preventing problems caused by dry skin, such as dandruff and psoriasis.

It Has Antioxidant Properties: Jojoba oil naturally contains vitamin E, which works as an effective antioxidant. This may be particularly attractive to those living in cities, where the skin is regularly exposed to toxins and pollutants which can cause inorganic free radicals in our skin cells. These free radicals cause damage which often appears in signs of early aging.

It Has Healing Properties: Not only can jojoba oil help to improve skin clearness and control sebum production, but it has also been recognised as a promising ingredient in wound healing in a clinical setting. Its naturally occurring vitamin E helps to bind the skin cells together after a cut or scratch. This means that it can also work to heal skin after breakouts and work to reduce acne scarring.

We wondered " what would make Australian jojoba oil even better?"

Jojoba oil is clearly beneficial alone, but this jojoba oil has been infused with:

Kakadu Plum – Kadadu plum is a small fruit (also called the billy goat plum or gubinge) found in the Eucalypt woodlands in Northern Australia. It’s an intense source of vitamin C, which helps to brighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation that is so common from sun damage and scarring. It also contains antioxidants to defend against further damage.

Calendula Extract – is made from the extract of marigolds, and is used to treat a myriad of skin conditions. It has been proven to speed up wound healing, which makes it an effective treatment for dry skin, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and even irritated skin on babies – so you know it’s good for your face!

Quandong Extract – This small, red plant is part of the sandalwood family, and is also a native plant here in Australia. Quandongs contain the second highest number of antioxidants in any fruit. When used on your skin, they fight free radicals which makes them a powerful combination with Kakadu plum and jojoba oil to protect against sun damage, pollution, and the natural free radicals the body produces.

Why is Vitamin C So Important for Our Skin?

Firstly, we need to make a major distinction here – there are two different types of vitamin C: natural vitamin C, and synthetic vitamin C. And, as you may guess, there is a major difference.

Natural vitamin C is the type we find in natural sources, from oils and extracts we’ve talked about above, to the healthy foods we eat. It’s found in fruits, berries, vegetables, and plants. Because it’s grown naturally, it contains phytonutrients and so is one of the most powerful ingredients you can put on your skin.

Synthetic vitamin C is what most skincare products contain when they boast about having the most potent form of vitamin C. What they’re talking about, in most cases, is ascorbic acid or another form of man-made vitamin C. This means all the claims they’re making simply aren’t true, because our bodies can’t utilise the synthetic vitamin C the way it can natural vitamin C.

So, what benefits does natural vitamin C have for our skin?

It’s a strong antioxidant – we touched on this above, but vitamin c  is a strong antioxidant which helps fight free radicals and reduce and eliminate signs of aging.

It boosts collagen and elastin production which reduces the appearance of wrinkles – vitamin C (boosts collagen protein synthesis which helps our skin look fuller and helps repair damaged skin which can lead to sagging and wrinkles. Instead, it brings volume back to our skin.

It makes our skin look brighter – if you skin looks tired and lifeless and you’ve got to the point where you won’t leave the house without a full face of makeup, you need more vitamin C in your skincare routine.

Our Australian High C Oil combines 100% Australian jojoba oil, Kakadu plum, quandong extract and calendula extract. This oil contains no additional or filler ingredients and is packed with natural vitamin C, so you’re only putting the best ingredients on your skin! It’s a must-have product for your daily skincare routine.
