Why use a face oil?

Face oils are becoming more and more popular

But what do they offer to your skincare routine? And when do you use them?

Face oils are a concentrated, all natural way to add moisture to your skin, keep the moisture in your skin and add additional nourishment depending on your skin’s needs

Facial oils can be a great way to complement your natural skin oils. Our skin naturally creates lipids and oils that help keep it moisturised and elastic by preventing water loss. Face oils keep sebum regulated, and give an extra layer of protection while maintaining the balance of your skin.

Different oils contain different nutrients and so they can help with different skin concerns

Generally speaking, face oils can be used in a few different ways

  • As a stand alone product, without any other moisturising products (not ideal, as your skin contains water and oil and for optimal hydration, a product containing water is also needed)
  • On top of your serum/ moisturiser (this is great because your skin is getting water and oil)
  • Mixed in with your foundation ( this gives a lighter application of foundation and gives your skin a fresh, dewy look) this is especially beneficial for those with dry or flaky skin. Makeup looks smooth and radiant
  • Face oil is especially suited to being applied at night, skin cells repair and heal overnight and popping a face oil on at night time gives it plenty of time to be absorbed by your skin

Advantages of Applying Facial Oil

Face oil can help your skin to stay hydrated, seal in moisture and maintain the equilibrium of the oil production of your skin

Face oil Encourages a radiant complexion, especially for older or dull skin.

Our skin produces fewer natural oils as we age, which can accentuate the appearance of fine wrinkles. Because they contain important components like antioxidants and quickly penetrate the skin, facial oils can help eliminate wrinkles by keeping skin hydrated and plump. Another benefit of antioxidants is that they increase collagen formation and improve skin suppleness. The antioxidants in face oil can help with fine lines and age spots too.

Face oil can help replenish moisture and promote bright skin regardless of the underlying cause of dull skin.

Also, Using a face oil encourages you to massage your face

Yours skin loves a good massage! And facial massage relaxes and tones the skin and muscles, removes stress and tension, encourages lymph flow and increases blood flow to the skin

Australian High C oil

This oil was Created because Australia produces the best jojoba oil in the world in my opinion. Jojoba oil has long been one of my favourite face oils and it suits all skin types. Jojoba oil is the oil that is most similar in composition to the oil our skin, so its an ideal oil to use. Our Australian High C oil is unscented so that it can be used by everyone. We took Australia’s beautiful jojoba oil and made it even better by infusing it with Australian botanicals of calendula, quandong and Kakadu plum

These are all naturally high in vitamin C resulting in an oil that gives you a natural (not synthetic) boost of vitamin C. Vitamin C works to brighten the skin and reduce hyperpigmentation that is so common from sun damage and scarring. It also contains antioxidants to defend against further damage.

Calendula is just one of the botanicals in this oil made from the extract of marigolds, and is used to treat a myriad of skin conditions. It has been proven to speed up wound healing, which makes it an effective treatment for dry skin, acne, eczema, psoriasis, and even irritated skin on babies – so you know it’s good for your face!

Cold pressed marula oil

Marula oil is a lightweight and antioxidant-rich oil that hails from the nuts and kernels found in marula trees. It’s a great oil to use if you want a light oil that sinks into your skin quickly

Marula oil known as "Africa's beauty secret" because it Contains lots of omega fatty acids, vitamin C and E helps to build healthy collagen in skin, keep skin elasticity and reduce the signs of aging.

Marula oil is also great for your hair so it’s a dual purpose beauty product
